Kayla Shumate, PhD, serves as Principal Scientist, Bioanalysis and DMPK at Hemab. She has over a decade of research experience spanning translational sciences, from nonclinical and clinical assay development and CRO management to animal model generation and biomarker identification. Most recently, Kayla served as a Scientist and Bioanalytical Lead at AskBio, with previous experience at Biogen. She received a PhD in Pharmacology from Vanderbilt University in Nashville, TN.
